Job DetailsWe are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Test Development Engineer to design, develop, and deploy manufacturing test solutions for complex, high-performance hardware systems, from PCB and PCBA through full system-level test.
This role is heavily hands-on and requires deep experience in hardware validation and PCBA manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the design and development of manufacturing test strategies for PCB, PCBA, and system-level hardware.
- Develop and support automated manufacturing test solutions used in factory and contract manufacturing environments.
- Debug and root-cause hardware, board-level, and system-level failures during manufacturing and bring-up.
- Work closely with hardware design, validation, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure test coverage, yield improvement, and manufacturability.
- Support PCBA manufacturing test, including boundary scan, functional test, and system integration testing.
- Partner with contract manufacturers on test deployment, sustainment, and issue resolution.
- Develop test software, GUIs, and supporting infrastructure for manufacturing data collection and traceability.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing test development for hardware products.
- Proven, hands-on experience with:
- PCB and PCBA manufacturing test
- Hardware validation and bring-up
- Test design and test development in manufacturing environments
- Demonstrated experience supporting PCBA manufacturing lines or contract manufacturers.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing test automation, including:
- Automated functional test
- Factory test infrastructure
- Test data collection and analysis
- Experience developing test software using:
- Python and/or C/C++
- Linux-based environments
- Familiar with test-related tooling and infrastructure such as:
- GUI-based test tools
- Databases (MySQL / SQL)
- Cloud-based systems (e.g., AWS) for test data and automation
