Overview:

We are seeking a Data Scientist to support CISS Analytics initiatives by transforming complex criminal justice data into actionable insights and scalable machine learning solutions to inform policy and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Translate business problems into analytical solutions
Clean, preprocess, and analyze large datasets
Build, validate, and deploy ML models (classification, regression, clustering)
Perform statistical analysis and A/B testing
Collaborate with DBAs, data engineers, and stakeholders
Present insights to technical and non-technical audiences

Required Skills:

2+ years of Data Science/ML experience
Strong Python (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn) and SQL
Solid statistics foundation
Experience with TensorFlow/PyTorch
Knowledge of AWS/Azure and MLOps tools
Experience with Tableau or Power BI
