Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced PCB Design & Layout Engineer to work on-site at the Dallas R&D Lab. You will create and update RF and mixed-signal PCB layouts for Power Amplifier boards, working closely with the PA design and verification teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and update RF and mixed-signal PCB layouts based on schematic, mechanical, thermal and RF needs.
Define PCB stack-up and work with the PCB supplier on engineering queries (EQ).
Plan controlled impedance, RF routing, grounding, shielding and isolation.
Apply Signal Integrity (SI), Power Integrity (PI) and EMI/EMC-aware design practices.
Complete component placement and design-rule checks (DRC).
Lead layout design reviews and fix layout issues.
Prepare manufacturing data with DFM/DFX in mind.
Support prototype bring-up and handle design changes.
Required Skills & Experience:
Hands-on experience in RF and mixed-signal PCB layout.
knowledge of high-power RF / PA board layout
Strong knowledge of stack-up, controlled impedance, grounding and shielding.
Good understanding of SI, PI and EMI/EMC basics.
Understanding of thermal considerations in PCB design
Experience with Mentor Graphics Xpedition Enterprise
Knowledge of DFM/DFX and manufacturing database preparation.
Ability to run design reviews and work with suppliers.
Good documentation and teamwork skills
