This position is 100% onsite and is dependent upon contracts that are working.
Will be expected to travel to job sites daily. Report to the jobsite every day after the morning 7:30 coordination call

Overview
Our client is seeking a Senior QC Inspector (Quality Auditor) to provide comprehensive construction oversight and quality assurance for gas utility projects. This role is vital in ensuring that all gas construction activities meet strict safety and industry standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for daily job site inspections, coordinating with project teams, and maintaining precise records within quality tracking systems to meet stakeholder commitments.

Responsibilities
Report to designated jobsites daily following morning coordination calls to perform quality audits and inspections.
Attend weekly in-person coordination meetings every Tuesday morning in Baltimore before heading to active field sites.
Oversee gas construction work involving plastic and steel mains, fusing, services, and common trench construction.
Utilize quality tracking systems to document findings and ensure all records are accurately placed into the database.
Interpret gas prints and standards to verify that field work aligns with approved engineering designs and construction methods.
Manage administrative tasks and documentation updates virtually during inclement weather days.
Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure construction quality meets or exceeds regulatory requirements.

Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 7 years of experience in gas construction work specifically affiliated with BGE operations.
5 to 7+ years of experience utilizing QC tracking systems such as AS8, uPPM, or QCI.
3 to 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Outlook and basic IT functions.
1 year or more of experience using ServiceNow.
Strong technical knowledge of plastic and steel mains, fusing, and various gas service work types.
Proven ability to read and interpret gas prints and gas standards.
Possession of or the ability to obtain all required Operator Qualifications (OQs) for construction oversight.
Experience with Common Trench construction methods.
Ability to work overtime as needed to meet documentation deadlines and stakeholder commitments

Preferred Skills & Experience
BA/BS degree.
Active QC Certifications are highly prioritized, particularly for candidates without a higher education degree.
Previous experience or knowledge of testing applications.
