Description Position SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented
Data Analyst to support our client. A key focus of this assignment will be finalizing and integrating the department's
legacy database into broader organizational data systems.
This role is ideal for someone who excels at translating complex data into clear insights for leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research and analysis on housing, economic, and demographic trends.
- Evaluate internal data to assess current and emerging housing needs.
- Interpret and communicate the policy implications of research findings for managerial decision-makers.
- Finalize and support integration of the legacy database with organizational data programs.
- Prepare written reports, dashboards, graphics, and presentations that summarize complex data clearly and concisely.
- Utilize PowerBI or Tableau to develop dashboards and data visualizations.
- Maintain and enhance databases using MS Access and Excel.
- Create presentations and briefing materials using MS PowerPoint.
- (Preferred) Use GIS tools and databases to analyze spatial housing and community development trends.
Requirements - Advanced proficiency in Power BI and/or Tableau, including developing dashboards, creating data models, building calculated fields/measures, and designing intuitive visualizations for non-technical audiences.
- Strong experience working with relational databases, including building, managing, and querying datasets in MS Access and Excel.
- Ability to clean, structure, and validate datasets from multiple sources to support analytical work.
- Demonstrated skill in translating complex datasets into clear, actionable insights through visualizations, reports, and presentations.
- Strong writing and graphic presentation skills, with the ability to summarize complex information concisely for managerial or executive stakeholders.
- Proficiency with MS PowerPoint for developing compelling data-driven presentations.
- (Preferred) Familiarity with GIS tools and spatial analysis, including developing or utilizing GIS databases to support research and reporting.
