Business Analyst – Azure Cloud Data Replication (Insurance Domain)

Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong data analysis skills and insurance domain knowledge to support data replication initiatives on the Azure Cloud platform. The role requires close collaboration with business and technical teams to identify data requirements and determine table sets/entities to be replicated from legacy policy administration systems. This is a high-visibility leadership role requiring strong communication and stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work onsite in Richmond and collaborate directly with business and technical teams.
- Lead requirements gathering to identify data needs across business functions.
- Analyze modern and legacy insurance systems (Guidewire, Claimtrak, Genesys, etc.) to identify required data sets.
- Translate business needs into structured specifications for engineering teams.
- Engage with SMEs, data architects, and developers to validate requirements.
- Manage stakeholder discussions to drive clarity and fast decision-making.
- Document requirements, mappings, and business rules.
- Serve as liaison between business and offshore technical teams.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 8–10 years as a Business/Data Analyst in insurance or financial services.
- Strong understanding of Guidewire, Claimtrak, Genesys, or similar policy/billing/claims systems.
- Experience with data profiling, data lineage, and requirements documentation.
- Ability to translate business requirements into actionable work for engineers.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Strong SQL proficiency.
- Fivetran, Databricks and/or Azure cloud proficiency is a huge plus.
