Senior QA Engineer / QE Lead Pittsburgh, PA

Location: Pittsburgh, PA (Hybrid/Onsite)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 6+ years of experience in Software Quality Engineering.
• Strong experience in the Banking/Financial Services domain, preferably in one or more of the following:
  • Payments
  • Lending
  • Corporate & Institutional Banking
  • Private Banking
• Hands-on experience with JIRA for test management, defect tracking, and Agile delivery.
• Strong automation experience using:
  • Playwright
  • Selenium
  • Cucumber (BDD)
  • Python
• Experience designing and implementing automation frameworks for functional and non-functional testing, including Accessibility (A11Y).
• Experience in Web and Mobile (iOS/Android) testing.
• Hands-on experience with Accessibility (WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA) testing.
• Experience leading or coordinating offshore QA teams.
• Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios and test cases.
• Strong collaboration skills with Business, Development, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Production Support teams.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Hands-on experience using GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar AI-assisted development/testing tools.
• Practical experience leveraging AI throughout the QA lifecycle, including:
  • Requirement analysis and test scenario generation.
  • Test case design and optimization.
  • Test automation script generation and maintenance.
  • Test data generation.
  • Defect analysis and root cause identification.
  • Regression test optimization and impact analysis.
  • Test documentation and reporting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with LLM testing, including validation of AI-generated responses for accuracy, consistency, safety, and reliability.
• Experience testing AI-powered applications, chatbots, virtual assistants, or Generative AI solutions.
• Familiarity with Prompt Engineering concepts for designing and validating AI interactions.
• Knowledge of AI Agents, Agentic Workflows, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) concepts.
• Experience with AI-assisted test automation and intelligent test generation platforms.
• Experience with accessibility automation tools such as axe-core, Evinced, or similar solutions.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Experience with API testing using Postman or REST Assured.
• SQL/database validation experience.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end QA activities for enterprise banking applications.
• Review business requirements and prepare test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright, Selenium, Cucumber, and Python.
• Design automation solutions for functional, regression, mobile, accessibility, and API testing.
• Drive the adoption of AI and Copilot tools to improve QA productivity, automation development, test coverage, and defect analysis.
• Identify opportunities to integrate AI into the QA lifecycle to improve quality, efficiency, and release velocity.
• Mentor QA engineers and coordinate testing activities across onsite and offshore teams.
• Collaborate with Business, Development, Product Owners, and Production Support teams throughout the SDLC.
• Execute functional, integration, regression, mobile, accessibility, and non-functional testing.
• Track testing progress, risks, metrics, and defects using JIRA.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives through automation, AI adoption, and QA best practices.
