Role Overview
We are seeking a talented Backend Java Developer proficient in Kafka and Spring WebFlux. This role requires a balance of skills in these three key areas to build responsive, efficient, and scalable backend services. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our backend architecture, utilizing your expertise to impact the success of our projects directly.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services using Java with Spring Boot (2.7 or higher), incorporating robust security practices with Spring Security (5.x preferred).
- Utilize Spring WebFlux for building non-blocking, reactive applications to enhance system responsiveness and resilience.
- Manage Kafka-based event-driven architectures, including event streaming, topic creation, configuration, and Spring Boot integration with Kafka.
- Create custom Kafka producers and consumers using Java and Spring Boot for effective message processing and handling.
- Implement and maintain data management solutions with MyBatis, JDBC, and SQL.
- Deploy applications on Tomcat, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Use Maven for dependency management and Docker for the containerization of applications.
- Adhere to test-driven development practices to ensure code quality and maintainability.
Required Qualifications
Education: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
Experience: This position requires 3-5 years of experience in backend development, specifically with Java, Kafka, and Spring WebFlux.
Technical Skills:- Java, Spring Boot (2.7+), Spring Security (5.x)
- Reactive programming with Spring WebFlux
- Kafka, including topic management and integration
- MyBatis, JDBC, SQL
- Tomcat, Maven, Docker, Kubernetes
- Understanding of Oauth and JWT
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Confluent Cloud.
- Experience developing CI pipelines using GitLab CI and managing deployments with Helm.
