About the role:

As a Mechanical Engineer I with the Westinghouse Parts Business (WPB), you will support plant safety and reliability efforts for our customers. This will include instrumentation and control, pumps and motors, and electro-mechanical product support.

You will report to the Manager of Procurement Engineering and will be located at our New Stanton, PA facility. This is a mobile role that is required on site 2-3 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review technical packages including drawings, specifications, and procurement requirements for various mechanical products
  • Work as part of a cross-functional team including quality engineering, supply chain management, marketing, customer service, and the supplier base
  • Provide technical input during the proposal process
  • Develop and/or maintenance of Material Master Data and Parts Baselines in SAP
  • Determine critical equipment characteristics to support equipment qualification and commercial dedication activities
  • Assist in the development of equipment qualification test procedures, evaluate test results and review final reports
  • Prepare Commercial Dedication Instructions
  • Provide engineering support to manufacturing and shop operations for a variety of products

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electromechanical is required
  • 0-4 Years relevant engineering related experience
  • Knowledge of mechanical components including, but not limited to pumps, valves, mechanical seals, motors, etc. is desired
  • SAP knowledge, especially production, requisitioning, and material master data management
