Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Production Engineer to own platform stability, scalability, and production system performance end-to-end.

This is not a feature development role. This position is focused on platform durability, production excellence, and system scale.

You will be responsible for eliminating pipeline failures, resolving performance bottlenecks, strengthening observability, and ensuring production resilience across enterprise SaaS environments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Stability

• Monitor, maintain, and improve ingestion pipelines

• Reduce failure rates and address edge-case breakages

• Enhance observability (logging, metrics, tracing)

• Implement automated alerts and recovery workflows

• Debug complex production issues efficiently

2. Performance & Scalability

• Identify and eliminate data processing bottlenecks

• Improve throughput and reduce latency

• Optimize database queries and data models (SQL & NoSQL)

• Ensure systems scale effectively with increasing volume

• Strengthen distributed system reliability

3. Infrastructure & DevOps

• Improve CI/CD reliability and deployment workflows

• Harden release processes and rollback mechanisms

• Improve uptime and production reliability

• Optimize cloud cost vs. performance

• Support enterprise SaaS systems in live production environments

4. System Ownership & Documentation

• Clearly document system architecture

• Create operational playbooks for common failure scenarios

• Reduce dependency on tribal knowledge

• Enable smooth handoffs and operational resilience

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of backend or infrastructure engineering experience

• Strong ownership of production systems

• Hands-on experience with data pipelines and ingestion systems

• Advanced database optimization skills (SQL + NoSQL)

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure)

• Familiarity with distributed systems architecture

• Experience supporting enterprise SaaS in production

Preferred (Bonus):

• Experience with AI/ML data pipelines or LLM-based systems
