Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Technical Program Manager for a Remote position with a Leading Technology Firm located in Menlo Park, CA. This is an 8+ month contract opportunity. This position is responsible for the successful definition, implementation, and delivery of complex, cross-functional technical programs. The ideal candidate will manage program scope, quality, time, and budget, engaging in strategic planning and interacting with executive-level management to resolve complex issues. This is a remote role with a preference for candidates working in the Pacific Time Zone.
Responsibilities: - Deliver programs within the constraints of scope, quality, time and budget and under circumstances involving multiple moderate-probability, moderate-impact risk factors
- Engage in program-level strategic planning, interaction with executive level management, complex issue resolution, and communications
- Manage a group of internal and matrixed employees and contractors to deliver systems and systems enhancements that meet specified requirements
- Oversee project scope definition and management, requirements gathering, time estimating, project schedule development, budget management, status reporting, risk management, and communications
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field
- Experience with project estimating, project scheduling & tracking, customer interaction and management, and implementation planning in large organizations
- Proven people management and team building skills
- Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adaptable in exercising judgment in a changing environment and to manage competing priorities
- Proven ability to learn business processes quickly and to work well with business partners at different levels within the organization
- Strong ability to assess risk and apply management principles to technology applications and business functions
- Experience delivering technology and business application solutions in a large-scale, multi-platform systems environment
- Experience with software development lifecycle
Desired skills: - MBA or other related advanced degree
- PMP or PMI certification
Pay range: up to $141.19 per hour
