Role Overview
Seeking a handson Palantir Foundry Engineer with a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) mindset to independently own and drive one or more Palantir use cases endtoend.
This is not a passive development role, a project manager role, or a narrow ETL position. The expectation is that the engineer will run the show for their assigned use case covering data ingestion, modeling, application build, and direct engagement with business stakeholders.
The broader objective of this role is to build internal Palantir capability and reduce dependency on Palantir's own FDEs over time.
Key Responsibilities

• Own one or more Palantir Foundry use cases endtoend (from problem understanding through delivery and rollout)
• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines, transforms, and workflows in Palantir Foundry
• Independently develop Foundry use cases, not just support or execute assigned tickets
• Engage directly with business stakeholders to:
  • clarify requirements
  • validate outputs
  • iterate on workflows
• Collaborate with customer data owners and engineers to:
  • understand source systems
  • identify available datasets (e.g., BigQuery, Netezza, healthcare operational systems)
• Proactively identify blockers, gaps, or ambiguities and drive resolution without waiting for instructions
• Take ownership of delivery timelines, quality, and outcomes
• Gradually reduce reliance on Palantir consultants by building durable inhouse solutions and patterns.

  Required Qualifications

• Strong handson experience with Palantir Foundry
• Experience building pipelines, transforms, workflows, and applications in Foundry
• Demonstrated ability to own and deliver a use case endtoend
• Strong data engineering fundamentals and comfort owning pipeline logic
• Ability to work directly with business stakeholders (not just technical teams)
• Proven selfdriven, accountable, and proactive mindset
• Comfortable operating in fastpaced, lightly structured environments
• Strong communication skills; willing to ask questions, challenge assumptions, and lead conversations
