Experience Required:
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience as a Data Engineer with a strong focus on the Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) environment.
Technical Proficiencies:
- Profound knowledge in ETL processes with proven capability for design, development, and optimization.
- Demonstrable skills using SQL for database management and querying.
- In-depth understanding of Google Cloud Platform BigQuery for complex data analysis.
- Practical experience with Cloud Composer for orchestrating and automating workflows.
- Proficiency in programming with Python, specifically within data processing contexts.
- Expertise in structuring data warehouses, including the ability to execute data modeling for various storage layers, including raw, silver, and gold tiers.
- Capability to collaborate closely with reporting analysts to formulate a semantic layer of the data warehouse that enhances data interpretation and reporting accuracy.
Additional Desired Qualifications:
- Prior exposure to the retail sector and its data management requirements is highly desirable.
Responsibilities Include:
- Collaborating with data and report teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality data services.
- Designing and constructing ETL pipelines, with attention to performance and scalability within a Google Cloud Platform environment.
- Handling data modeling tasks to suit analytical needs and maintaining data warehouse integrity across multiple storage levels.
- Collaborating in the development of a semantic layer to facilitate better data accessibility and reporting for end-users.
