Baer is looking for SAP Retail & CAR Consultant for a 4+ month project located in Philadelphia, PA.
Title: SAP Retail & CAR Consultant
Location: Hybrid East Coast, preferably near Philadelphia.
Duration: 4 months
Rate: Hourly Plus Expenses Reimbursed
Alignment: W2 or Individual C2C (Vendors Not Permitted)
Description:
We are seeking an experienced SAP Retail & CAR Consultant to lead large-scale SAP Retail transformation initiatives. The consultant will drive solution design, roadmap planning, and end-to-end implementation across retail master data, pricing, promotions, and SAP CAR capabilities.
Responsibilities:

• Lead conceptualization, solution design, and roadmap development for SAP Retail transformation programs.
• Design and configure SAP Retail Master Data and Pricing & Promotion processes to support complex retail assortments, multi-channel operations, and promotional strategies.
• Own SAP CAR solution scope, including POSDTA, On-Shelf Availability (OSA), and Inventory Visibility, ensuring accurate near real-time data integration from POS and upstream systems.
• Collaborate with business, merchandising, and planning teams to integrate merchandising and planning systems with SAP, ensuring end-to-end alignment across buying, allocation, replenishment, pricing, and promotions.
• Provide senior SME leadership during fit-gap analysis, design workshops, testing, cutover, and hypercare phases.
• Mentor project teams and support issue resolution during production support.

Qualifications:

• 15+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Retail solutioning and implementation, including leadership of large retail transformation programs.
• Strong expertise in SAP Retail Master Data, Pricing & Promotion, and SAP CAR (POSDTA, OSA, Inventory Visibility).
• Solid understanding of merchandising and planning system integration with SAP, including assortment planning, forecasting, allocation, and replenishment tools.
• Proven experience as a senior client-facing consultant leading design workshops and aligning business and IT stakeholders.
