Role: Senior Axway Secure Transport - MFT Administrator and Developer

Job Summary
The Senior Axway Secure Transport DevOps is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Managed File Transfer (MFT) solutions using Axway Secure Transport and related technologies. This role ensures secure, reliable, and compliant file transfers across enterprise systems and external partners. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in Axway MFT platforms, strong Linux/Unix administration skills, and a solid understanding of encryption, automation, and system integration practices.
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain Axway Secure Transport, Gateway, and related MFT components in production and non-production environments.
Manage user provisioning, access control, certificates, encryption keys, and security configurations to ensure data protection and compliance.
Monitor file transfer operations, system performance, and logs to ensure high availability and reliability.
Troubleshoot and resolve transfer failures, connectivity issues, and performance bottlenecks.
Develop and implement automation scripts for routine tasks, onboarding, and reporting using Linux shell scripting or Python.
Perform patching, upgrades, migrations, and configuration enhancements in alignment with enterprise standards.
Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to integrate MFT solutions with enterprise systems and business workflows.
Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including SOPs, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks.
Ensure compliance with security, audit, and regulatory requirements such as SOX, PCI-DSS, and GDPR.
Participate in on-call rotations and provide production support for critical file transfer issues.
Required Skills and Experience
Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience with Axway Secure Transport
Strong understanding of file transfer protocols such as SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS, and AS2.
Solid knowledge of security standards including SSL/TLS, PGP encryption, and SSH.
Proficiency in Linux/Unix system administration and shell scripting (Bash/Korn).
Experience with clustering, load balancing, and high availability configurations.
Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Axway Sentinel, Nagios, Splunk, or Grafana.
Good understanding of networking concepts including firewalls, proxies, and DNS.
Experience with identity management and integration with LDAP/Active Directory.
Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills for working in cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Axway Central Governance, API Gateway, or B2Bi components.
Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, or infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Jenkins).
Exposure to cloud-based MFT solutions (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
Relevant Axway or related vendor certifications (preferred but not mandatory).
