About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure & Innovation Lab Engineer to support technology innovation initiatives within a leading Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) organization. This role is focused on evaluating emerging technologies, building proof-of-concept environments, and enabling business and technology teams to assess innovative solutions in a secure laboratory setting.

The ideal candidate is a technology enthusiast who is naturally curious, highly adaptable, and excited by learning new platforms. This position is best suited for a technology generalist with a strong infrastructure foundation and broad exposure across cloud, endpoint, systems, networking, virtualization, and emerging technology domains.
What You'll Do

• Partner with business and project teams to understand technology evaluation requirements and translate them into lab capabilities and technical solutions.
• Support a secure innovation lab environment used to test emerging technologies, products, and proof-of-concept initiatives.
• Provide technical consultation on lab services, supported platforms, architectural considerations, and platform limitations.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues across operating systems, cloud environments, networking, identity services, endpoint platforms, and integrations.
• Administer and support a diverse technology ecosystem including:
  • Windows, macOS, and Linux
  • iOS and Android
  • VMware and Hyper-V
  • Kubernetes and container technologies
  • Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)
• Automate infrastructure deployment, configuration, and operational processes using PowerShell, Bash, Terraform, or other automation tools.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, knowledge articles, operational procedures, and support standards.
• Collaborate with infrastructure engineering teams on platform enhancements, lifecycle management activities, and new service offerings.
• Evaluate new technologies and provide recommendations based on technical feasibility, business value, and operational considerations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5-7 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, cloud engineering, systems administration, lab engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience supporting enterprise environments across on-premises, cloud, SaaS, and end-user computing platforms.
• Strong customer-facing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience troubleshooting operating systems, endpoint technologies, cloud services, networking, identity management, and security-related technologies.
• Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms, cloud infrastructure, and infrastructure automation tools.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting innovation labs, sandbox environments, proof-of-concept programs, or technology evaluation initiatives.
• Broad technical knowledge across infrastructure, cloud, networking, databases, virtualization, identity, AI/ML, and emerging technologies.
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerized environments.
• Experience supporting hybrid and multi-cloud architectures.
• Knowledge of enterprise networking, secure connectivity, proxy services, access management, and endpoint management solutions.
• Experience evaluating and integrating new technologies in partnership with engineering, architecture, vendor, and business teams.
• Industry certifications related to cloud, infrastructure, virtualization, security, or endpoint management.
• Demonstrated passion for technology innovation and continuous learning.
