Summary

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Visual Designer for a contract assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in Boston, MA.

Responsibilities :
  • Responsible for conceptualizing and designing visual communications and digital interfaces aimed to support the Bank's mission and vision while strengthening reputation and maintaining identity standards.
  • Ensures that these communications effectively serve the public, support the Bank's mission, and advance understanding of the organization by partnering with stakeholders and IT to deliver effective, modern solutions.
  • Leverages emerging AI enhanced design tools to improve creativity, efficiency, and design quality while upholding brand standards and responsible AI practices.
  • Consult with project teams to understand business and design goals.
  • Apply industry best practices to create strong, user centered designs for moderately complex visual and interface challenges.
  • Lead the design process from concept through production, using AI assisted ideation, layout exploration, image generation, and workflow automation to support speed and quality.
  • Produce final design assets in close collaboration with UX/Design colleagues.
  • Analyze business needs with support from the team to inform design recommendations.
  • Create design artifacts-sketches, wireframes, storyboards, charts, graphics, data visualizations, and interactive layouts-using AI driven tools where appropriate to accelerate exploration and improve outcomes.
  • Collaborate with UX/Design, Digital Strategy, IT, and Communications teams to determine required updates or enhancements to digital programs.
  • Stay current with design research, industry trends, and advancements in AI supported creative workflows.
  • Participate in user research activities and, when aligned with Bank standards, use AI powered synthesis tools to identify patterns or derive insights.
  • Demonstrate strong collaboration, reliability, and customer service.
  • Use AI tools to assist with initial data visualization concepts and automated formatting.
  • Source original and stock imagery, and when appropriate, responsibly use AI image generation tools to support concept development and creative iteration.
  • Maintain and promote brand guidelines, including standards for ethical, transparent, and responsible use of AI in creative work.
Required Skills :
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in graphic design, visual studies, or related field, with 3-5 years of related experience.
  • Ability to work effectively on multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong creative and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent planning, prioritization, and organizational skills.
  • Strong design, typography, and production skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong ability to articulate design decisions clearly and concisely.
  • Understanding of user centered design principles.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud and modern design tools.
  • Competence with HTML and CSS.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation.
  • Experience using AI assisted design tools (e.g., generative imagery, layout suggestions, automated pattern libraries).
  • Ability to evaluate AI outputs for accuracy, accessibility, ethical use, and brand alignment.
  • Awareness of evolving AI capabilities and willingness to integrate them appropriately into design workflows.
Preferred Skills :
  • Knowledge of digital photo/video production is a plus.
