Job Description

Role : WebSecurityProxyEngineer

Location : Montreal, QC, Canada (Hybrid 3 days a week onsite and 2 days remote)

Role Overview

A skilled and proactiveWebSecurityProxyEngineerto design, implement, and maintain securewebaccess infrastructure across the enterprise. This role focuses on managingwebproxysolutions, enforcing internet usage policies, and protecting users fromweb-based threats. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise inproxytechnologies, securewebgateways, and threat intelligence integration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and manage enterprise web proxy and secure web gateway solutions
  • Enforce internet access and acceptable-use policies across the organization
  • Monitor, analyze, and respond to web security threats, including malware, phishing, and data exfiltration attempts
  • Integrate threat intelligence feeds and security controls to enhance web protection
  • Configure URL filtering, SSL inspection, authentication, and access controls
  • Troubleshoot proxy-related performance, connectivity, and security issues
  • Collaborate with network, security, and endpoint teams to ensure seamless security coverage
  • Maintain documentation, operational procedures, and security standards
  • Support audits, compliance requirements, and security incident investigations

Required Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on experience with web proxy and secure web gateway technologies
  • Solid understanding of web security threats, attack vectors, and mitigation techniques
  • Experience enforcing security policies in large enterprise environments
  • Knowledge of SSL/TLS inspection, authentication methods, and access control models
  • Familiarity with threat intelligence platforms and security monitoring tools
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
