Summary

All Lines Technology is seeking an experienced Linux Systems Administrator to join their Global Information Services team in Pittsburgh, PA. This team is responsible for the deployment, administration, maintenance, and support of Linux-based infrastructure across enterprise datacenters and remote locations. The ideal candidate will have strong Linux administration experience in large-scale enterprise environments, expertise with Red Hat technologies, and a solid understanding of virtualization, storage, backup, and automation.
This position plays a critical role in ensuring the stability, security, and performance of Linux systems while supporting ongoing infrastructure initiatives, application deployments, and database migrations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, administer, and maintain infrastructure components within physical and virtualized Linux environments.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve Linux server issues, system failures, and critical alerts.
  • Deploy and migrate enterprise applications and Oracle databases.
  • Manage software upgrades, patches, hotfixes, and security updates across Linux platforms.
  • Write, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux shell scripts to automate operational tasks and improve efficiency.
  • Perform fault analysis, root cause investigations, and performance reporting.
  • Proactively monitor system performance, capacity utilization, and overall platform health.
  • Support enterprise backup, storage, and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to ensure system availability, reliability, and compliance with organizational standards.
Daily Responsibilities
  • Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Linux servers in a large-scale enterprise environment.
  • Administer Linux systems and quickly resolve failures, incidents, and critical alerts.
  • Develop and troubleshoot shell scripts for automation and operational support.
  • Perform root cause analysis and document performance-related issues and system exceptions.
  • Coordinate and implement server upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Red Hat Linux Certification such as RHCSA, RHCT, or RHCE.
  • Experience administering Linux servers in a large enterprise environment supporting 100+ Linux servers.
  • Strong experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and/or Oracle Enterprise Linux (OEL).
  • Experience building and supporting Red Hat OpenShift virtualized environments.
  • Experience with Linux system troubleshooting, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
  • Proficiency in Linux shell scripting.
