Software Packaging Engineer - Liquidware/FlexApp

Location: Vienna, Virginia (Partial Remote)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Software Packaging Engineer to support an enterprise-wide application packaging modernization initiative. This role is responsible for packaging, testing, deploying, and validating applications utilizing the Liquidware FlexApp platform. This is a hands-on engineering position requiring software packaging expertise, process discipline, and experience in complex enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Package, repackage, test, and deploy enterprise applications utilizing Liquidware FlexApp.
  • Perform application analysis, compatibility testing, and deployment validation.
  • Troubleshoot packaging, deployment, and application performance issues.
  • Document packaging requirements, installation procedures, and deployment standards.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and endpoint engineering teams to support platform adoption.
  • Support the enterprise-wide implementation and rollout of the Liquidware FlexApp platform.
  • Migrate existing application packages to the new delivery framework.
  • Perform pre-packaging research, quality control, and validation.
  • Manage application deployment and retirement activities, including stakeholder communication.
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of Software Packaging Engineering experience within large enterprise environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Liquidware FlexApp.
  • Experience packaging, repackaging, and deploying Windows applications.
  • Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM).
  • Experience with application deployment technologies and software lifecycle management.
  • Experience with Change Management processes.
  • Familiarity with Windows 10/11 and enterprise desktop environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced PowerShell scripting experience.
  • Experience with InstallShield or similar packaging tools.
  • Experience supporting VDI, virtual desktop, or digital workspace environments.
  • Experience with application virtualization technologies.
  • Experience utilizing SQL, WQL, Power BI, or reporting tools.
  • Experience with Splunk and/or UberAgent.
  • Financial services enterprise experience.
