The Automation Architect is responsible for the ongoing development and execution of automation strategies across a diverse portfolio of applications. This role now includes designing, implementing, and scaling intelligent automation frameworks that leverage AI, LLMs, and agentic workflows. The architect coaches automation engineers, drives adoption of modern tools (such as Playwright, Langflow, and OpenAI infrastructure), and ensures alignment with SAFe methodologies. Staying current with emerging technologies, the architect identifies opportunities to maximize automation, including model testing and AI-driven validation, while managing expectations of technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Job Duties - Leadership & Team Management:
Lead, mentor, and manage QA automation teams, fostering collaboration and high performance.
Guide team members in framework design, test strategy, and technical troubleshooting.
Coordinate with vendor teams and stakeholders to align testing strategies and deliverables.
Framework & Automation Strategy:
Architect, implement, and enhance reusable automation frameworks for modular and microservices systems.
Design and execute automated test cases using Playwright, Selenium, and other modern tools.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) for continuous testing and deployment.
Ensure effective coverage of UI, API, and database layers, validating both front-end and back-end applications.
Technical Excellence:
Drive adoption of AI/LLM-powered automation, model testing, and intelligent test selection.
Optimize frameworks for scalability, maintainability, and performance.
Conduct root cause analysis, troubleshoot defects, and collaborate with development teams for resolution.
Conduct code reviews and enforce secure coding practices.
Continuous Improvement:
Optimize and enhance existing automation frameworks, ensuring proper documentation and best practices.
Stay informed about the latest testing tools, techniques, and trends-including AI/ML-driven automation-to continuously improve practices.
Job Requirements - 7+ years in QA automation, with 3+ years in a lead or framework engineering role.
Hands-on expertise with Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Node.js, and hybrid automation frameworks.
Experience with AI/LLM model testing, prompt engineering, and GenAI observability.
Proficiency in programming languages: Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, C#.
Experience with AI-powered tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursors, GenAI) for code generation, test optimization, and intelligent test selection.
Strong knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps, and cloud-native automation (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience with modular and microservices architectures, API testing (REST, GraphQL), and database validation (SQL).
Experience conducting code reviews.
Familiarity with agentic automation, orchestration of AI agents, and integration of external LLMs.
