Software Developer to join our team in
Chantilly, VA. As part of an Agile development team, you'll design, build, and enhance enterprise software solutions that support mission-critical operations across the Intelligence Community. Key Responsibilities- Develop and enhance enterprise Java applications supporting mission-critical capabilities.
- Design and implement scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs that enable communication across distributed systems.
- Design efficient database solutions and optimize SQL queries for application performance.
- Support the development of modern web applications using JavaScript and Angular.
- Collaborate with architects, software engineers, and mission stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Analyze and resolve software defects while improving application performance and reliability.
- Participate in architecture discussions, peer code reviews, and technical planning sessions.
- Contribute to continuous integration, testing, deployment, and long-term sustainment activities.
- Promote modern software engineering practices and contribute to continuous process improvement.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Experience developing enterprise software applications using Java.
- Experience with Spring Boot or similar Java frameworks.
- Experience developing and integrating RESTful web services.
- Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MySQL.
- Experience with JavaScript and modern front-end frameworks such as Angular.
- Experience developing software within Linux/Unix environments.
- Familiarity with Git, version control, testing methodologies, and Agile software development.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience developing microservices-based architectures.
- Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized application development.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or GitLab.
- Experience with Maven, Gradle, or similar Java build tools.
