Informatica/ETL Administrator Consultant---Fairfax, VA

Role: Informatica/ETL Administrator Consultant
Location: Onshore / Onsite, Fairfax, VA
Start is immediate.

The customer is seeking a talented Informatica/ETL Administrator Consultant. The person in this role works closely with clients to understand, install, configure, and making recommendations on best practices on Informatica Cloud (IDMC) and having Data Governance experience is a strong plus.

The candidate should have:

Experience with python programming for Data Engineering activities.
Having knowledge on Python3 and usage of Data Engineering libraries.
CI/CD and version control management experience.
REST API integration experience in IDMC/CAI.
Proficiency in Shell scripting.
Knowledge in different databases like SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL and Snowflake.
Experience with processing different file formats in informatica.
Provide infrastructure and platform sizing for projects, including hardware and software requirements
Configure secure agents and run time environments for IDMC/CDGC.
Configure IICS security with SSO enablement and role management.
Maintain detailed documentation in confluence up to date.
Setup alert mechanism for long running processes and infrastructure related issues.
Administer and support Infomatica code migrations and manage access and code migrations for enterprise data warehouse team.
Experience with Implement/support multi node server installations and file system management.
Work with teams to monitor, tune and optimize performance (system and application)
Create best practice guides and work with development teams to implement them.
Manage development, QA, User Acceptance Testing and product environments
Participate in implementing application updates such as upgrades, patches, integrations and new releases.
Knowledge on Informatica DQ rules development, Catalog resources setup with different applications/Databases.
Experience in working with Database administrators to troubleshoot any problems
Experience in managing integrations with surrounding applications/systems.
Understanding the concepts of Datawarehouse/Data Lake/Data Marts.
Thorough knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and experience in working with release teams.
Experience with reporting tools like Oracle analytics server and tableau is preferred.
Tableau Prep knowledge is a plus for ETL activities.
