Summary
Job Description:
We are seeking a Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains (GP) Functional Consultant with strong hands-on experience in end-user financial operations. This role is focused on business-side usage of GP across core finance modules, supporting day-to-day accounting activities and driving process efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform day-to-day financial operations using Microsoft Dynamics GP across Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL).
- Act as a key finance user, handling transactions, validations, and routine accounting activities within GP.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Support month-end and year-end close activities, including reporting and audit support.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of financial processes.
- Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
- Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong hands-on experience using Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains (GP) as an end user (not IT/support role).
- Functional expertise in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL).
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial workflows.
- Experience handling day-to-day accounting operations in a business environment.
- Ability to work independently and manage financial tasks with high accuracy.
- Good communication skills to collaborate with finance teams and stakeholders.
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with GP Inventory module.
- Exposure to Contract Management or revenue-related processes.
- Experience working in a mid-to-large enterprise finance environment.
