AgreeYa is a global Systems Integrator and is seeking an experienced Senior Chromium Engineer to join our growing team. The Desktop app is a Chromium-based browser for macOS and Windows, and this engineer will be the primary Chromium systems expert working alongside engineers who focus on feature development, AI integrations, and cross-platform concerns.
Experience Required:
Build and ship next-generation AI-powered web browser on Desktop (macOS/Windows), with deep Chromium integration, AI-driven features powered by LLMs, and a polished consumer experience.
Minimum 10+ years of software engineering, with at least 2+ years working directly in or with Chromium
Prior experience at a company that ships a Chromium-based browser or embedded WebView product is ideal.
Skill Required:
Strong C++ proficiency (Chromium is ~35M lines of C++)
Direct experience working in the Chromium codebase not just "browser experience," but actually building on, patching, or forking Chromium
Experience maintaining a Chromium fork or downstream browser (e.g., Brave, Vivaldi, Edge, Opera, Arc, or similar)
Experience with Chromium's build system (GN/Ninja) and development workflow (depot_tools, gclient)
Comfort with large codebases (Chromium is one of the largest open-source projects in existence)
