Job Title: Senior Java Developer (AWS / Spring / Microservices)
Location: Long Island, NY - Hybrid 3 days onsite

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer with strong expertise in Java, AWS, Spring Framework, and Microservices. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building scalable APIs and distributed systems, along with proven skills in cloud-native application development and deployment.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java applications using the Spring framework (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud).
- Build and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices architectures for high availability and performance.
- Deploy, manage, and optimize services on AWS Cloud using best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (business analysts, QA, DevOps, and architects) to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and logging for Java microservices.
- Ensure code quality, security, and performance through code reviews and best practices.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of hands-on development experience in Java.
- Strong expertise in Spring Boot / Spring Cloud framework.
- Proven experience in developing and deploying microservices-based architectures.
- Solid understanding of RESTful API development and integration.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, etc.).
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and container-based deployments.
- Strong SQL and database experience (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SNS/SQS).
- Exposure to DevOps tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Terraform, Ansible).
- Knowledge of application security, performance tuning, and monitoring.
- Previous experience in media/entertainment industry projects is a plus.
