A team is being formed to build Model Context Protocol (MCP) connectors that enable scalable, production-grade generative AI integrations. This team is responsible for delivering a modular connector architecture, beginning with Databricks and Snowflake, to support a growing AI agent ecosystem.
We are hiring a senior Python-focused MCP developer immediately to support a critical proof-of-concept deadline. These are hands-on engineering roles requiring deep Python expertise, strong MCP knowledge, and the ability to deliver independently within an evolving architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
· Design, build, and maintain MCP connectors for enterprise platforms (initial focus on Databricks and Snowflake).
· Develop clean, production-ready Python services and libraries supporting connector architecture.
· Integrate with a variety of third-party APIs, authentication models, and data sources.
· Contribute to early-stage architecture while delivering high-quality, production-grade code.
· Build and maintain unit tests, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment workflows.
· Collaborate with AI agent teams and technical leadership to align connector behavior with platform needs.
· Participate in in-office technical discussions, design reviews, and implementation planning.
Required Skills & Experience:
· Strong Python expertise (primary language) with 3–5+ years of hands-on development experience.
· Direct MCP experience is required (approximately 1+ year preferred).
· Proven experience building production Python applications (not scripting-only roles).
· Solid understanding of Model Context Protocol concepts, behaviors, and lifecycle.
· Familiarity with or hands-on experience using the FastMCP library.
· Ability to work independently, own deliverables end-to-end, and contribute immediately.
· Experience working with REST APIs, authentication flows, and external vendor integrations.
· Working knowledge of:
o SQL (Postgres preferred)
o CI/CD pipelines
o Git-based development workflows
Nice to Have:
· Experience building connectors or integrations for Databricks or Snowflake.
· Background in AI, LLM-based systems, or agent-driven architectures.
· Exposure to large-scale or multi-connector integration platforms.
