Job Description


We are seeking a Social Media Community Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in community engagement, social listening, and brand voice development and a proven ability to turn online conversations into actionable insights that strengthen reputation and drive engagement.


Responsibilities:



  • Manage daily community engagement across brand social channels, including posting, commenting, listening, and elevating conversations.

  • Monitor comments, messages, mentions, and conversations to maintain timely awareness.

  • Respond to consumers in an on-brand, thoughtful manner and follow escalation guidelines when needed.

  • Identify opportunities to strengthen engagement and brand affinity through proactive interaction.

  • Spot emerging themes, risks, and cultural moments and share findings with key partners.

  • Help maintain a clear and consistent brand voice across platforms.

  • Partner with Influencer & Content, Brand, and cross-functional teams to support campaign priorities.

  • Provide input on content themes, FAQs, and messaging based on community feedback.

  • Track community trends, sentiment, and consumer questions to inform planning.

  • Translate social conversation into insights and recommendations for the broader team.

  • Partner with the Influencer & Content team on brainstorms and convert insights into ideas.

  • Support reporting on engagement and community health metrics.

  • Follow moderation guidelines and community management best practices.


Required Skills & Qualifications:



  • Current college student or recent graduate in marketing, communications, journalism, PR, or a related field.

  • 2+ years of experience managing a social account for a club, campus organization, small business, or personal project.

  • Strong writing skills with attention to tone and detail.

  • Interest in social media, brand storytelling, and digital culture.

  • Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, Pinterest, or LinkedIn.

  • Good judgment and professionalism in public-facing communication.

  • Organizational skills with comfort managing multiple priorities.

  • Eagerness to learn, take feedback, and grow in a fast-moving environment.


Preferred Skills:



  • Experience identifying trends, cultural moments, or emerging conversation themes online.

  • Experience turning community observations into content ideas or recommendations.

  • Familiarity with social listening, community management, or reporting tools.
