Job DescriptionYou will be the Systems Engineering Manager for the Lab Operations team which is responsible for leading high-skill technical efforts across flight-simulation and hardware-in-the-loop lab environments.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Systems Engineering Manager you will be responsible for driving program execution and functional leadership to ensure world-class simulation support for iconic aircraft.
Your responsibilities will include:- Lead and mentor a high-skill technical team across multiple flight-simulation and hardware-in-the-loop labs.
- Oversee program execution, managing cost, schedule, and technical performance for advanced development programs.
- Direct functional leadership duties including recruitment, labor planning, budgeting, talent development, and performance assessments.
- Ensure lab compliance with security, safety, configuration control, and asset management, as well as the appropriate systems, plans people and processes are in place to maintain and operate over 20 venues across the Marietta campus.
- Maintaining our labs physical and data security, property management and asset tracking, tool control, calibration of test equipment, infrastructure to include facilities and safety protocols, and following LM command media to ensure a compliant lab space for our customers.
- Develop competencies within the team to troubleshoot, conduct repairs, while also driving innovation via integrating advanced computing and multi ship technologies to deliver state of the art simulation environments.

Experience with leading technical teams, mentoring junior engineers, and/or experience forming and growing a high performing multidiscipline team
In-depth operational, developmental, integration, or test experience with modern avionics
Desired skills Experience in System Integration Labs or Hardware in the loop labs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members
Demonstrated ability to respond quickly to shifting priorities and to effortlessly multitask across those priorities, while inspiring collaboration, confidence, and motivation of a team in stressful and dynamic environments
Have a strong desire to build and lead high-talent teams
Provide project management mentorship to technical leads
Expertise in Metrics Collection, Risk and Opportunities, Management, and Staffing
Familiarity with Digital Transformation processes, tools, common products, and infrastructure

Work Schedule InformationLockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay StatementPay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $128,400 - $226,435. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
