Java Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client seeking a Java Developer in Surise, FL. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building and supporting backend applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and leveraging emerging AI tools to enhance development productivity.

Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications
* Collaborate with product, QA, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions
* Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance
* Participate in code reviews and follow best practices for clean, scalable code
* Utilize AI-assisted development tools, including Devin AI, to improve efficiency and output
* Support ongoing enhancements and system integrations

REQUIREMENTS:
* 3-5 years of hands-on Java development experience
* Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles
* Experience with frameworks such as Spring or Spring Boot
* Familiarity with REST APIs and microservices architecture
* Experience working with databases (SQL or NoSQL)
* Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
* Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Agile environments
* Interest or experience in AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Devin AI)

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
