Lead Manufacturing Engineer
Our client is seeking an Manufacturing / Production Lead Engineer to take full responsibility, end to end, of building and/or expanding on our clients fiber glass related products for delivery to their customers.
The selected candidate will work with the design team (post design) to ensure the design is capable of execution, then execute the design with support from production manufacturing engineers on the floor. We are seeking candidates with similar experience to ensure that the designs are executed per the initial specifications, and the shipments are complete for the customers.

<>Required Skills>
- United States Citizenship is required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD Security Clearance
- Bachelor of Science in Composites, Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Chemical, Aerospace, or other related engineering degree, such as Naval Architecture, is required
- 8+ years of experience within a production / manufacturing environment, with the last 4 years as a Production Lead with end-to-end production/manufacturing responsibilities, product development ownership, tooling development, and manufacturing support supervision of several products at once.
- Manufacturing / Production of Fiber Glass or related products is highly preferred - not required (I.E: Aramid Fiber (Kevlar), Basalt Fiber)
- CAD tool is SolidWorks for both modeling and drawing development; experience with this software tool is required. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Must have solid customer service / client services skills in both verbal and written. Regularly interfaces with customers and subcontractors
- Author manufacturing work instructions, inspection procedures, white papers, monthly reports, etc. without input from supervisor
- Subject Matter Expert in a few areas of the production process
- Big plus: Background in producing proposals, schedules, budgets and other programmatic deliverables
