We are seeking a Senior-level IAM Metrics, KPI & KRI Lead to join a large enterprise IT Security organization. This individual will be part of the Identity & Access Management (IAM) function and will own the design, automation, and delivery of IAM metrics, KPIs, and KRIs used by IAM leadership and senior executives.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-ownership, low-hand-holding environments and enjoys transforming complex IAM data into automated, executive-ready insights.
Automation, data accuracy, and executive communication are central to this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and own the IAM Metrics, KPI, KRI & SLA program from end to end
- Define and implement IAM metrics covering:
- Identity lifecycle processes (Joiner / Mover / Leaver)
- Access provisioning and deprovisioning effectiveness
- Access certifications and review health
- Privileged access risk and visibility
- IAM control effectiveness and risk trends
- Build automated data pipelines to ingest IAM data from source systems
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards for:
- IAM leadership (detailed operational reporting)
- Executive leadership (high-level, risk-focused dashboards)
- Drive reduction of manual reporting through automation, enabling on-demand and near real-time reporting
- Partner in a dotted-line capacity with the Information Security Metrics/KPI team to ensure IAM data is:
- Complete
- Accurate
- Delivered at agreed-upon intervals
- Translate IAM data into clear narratives that explain trends, risks, and business impact
- Present IAM metrics and insights to senior leadership and executive stakeholders
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree or equivalent professional experience
- 8 10+ years of experience in IT Security, IAM, Security Metrics, or related roles
- Experience working in regulated enterprise environments (healthcare, pharma, financial services)
- Hands-on experience designing and maintaining metrics, KPIs, and KRIs within IT Security
- Direct experience creating IAM-specific metrics (not general security reporting)
- Advanced, hands-on experience with Power BI
- Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Excel
- Proven ability to present metrics and dashboards to executive leadership
- Strong ability to work independently, take ownership of ambiguous problems, and deliver results with minimal direction
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building an IAM metrics program from the ground up
- Strong understanding of IAM concepts, including:
- Identity lifecycle management
- Access governance and certifications
- Privileged access management
- Role-based access control (RBAC)
- Experience automating data ingestion using SQL, APIs, exports, or similar methods
- Experience integrating IAM metrics into broader enterprise security or risk reporting
