Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Designer to lead the design and development of Outdoor, Fishing, and Golf apparel lines, including sportswear, outerwear, and graphics. This role will oversee the complete product lifecycle from concept development through production, ensuring innovative designs, strong brand identity, and successful execution of both branded and private label programs. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in seasonal line development, trend forecasting, fabric sourcing, factory collaboration, and apparel production management while working cross-functionally with design, sales, technical, and production teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design and development of seasonal Outdoor, Fishing, and Golf apparel collections, including sportswear, outerwear, and graphics.
Research market trends, fabrics, silhouettes, and competitive brands to create innovative products while maintaining brand identity.
Collaborate with the Women's Designer and Design Director to ensure a cohesive vision across seasonal collections.
Manage seasonal development calendars, SKU counts, and product merchandising strategies to support business growth.
Develop seasonal color palettes, trend concepts, garment sketches, and color CADs for product presentations and sales meetings.
Create and maintain seasonal development decks showcasing product concepts and line direction.
Partner with graphic and print teams to develop factory-ready artwork, Pantone selections, print placements, and artwork scaling.
Review and approve lab dips, wash panels, print strike-offs, and other development submissions to ensure design accuracy and quality standards.
Utilize PLM systems (Webtech preferred) to create tech packs, upload style details, sketches, branding, labels, bill of materials, and colorways.
Collaborate with technical design teams to communicate garment specifications, construction details, and development requirements.
Work directly with overseas factories to develop new products, source fabrics, and manage sample development.
Maintain development tracking documents, sample status reports, ETA updates, and seasonal fabric libraries.
Participate in design reviews, sales presentations, and cross-functional meetings to communicate project status and development updates.
Lead production handoff meetings, reviewing product details, artwork requirements, color standards, and costing considerations.
Support production execution by managing style updates, hangtag development, branding details, and production documentation.
Attend fit sessions throughout production, providing design direction and feedback to ensure product fit and quality standards are achieved.
Partner closely with production and technical teams to review fabric, trim, and garment approvals throughout the production lifecycle.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, Textile Design, or a related field preferred.
10+ years of apparel design experience with a strong focus on Outdoor, Fishing, Golf, Sportswear, or Outerwear categories.
7+ years of experience developing and managing complete seasonal apparel lines from concept through production.
Experience working with both branded and private label apparel programs.
Strong knowledge of apparel development processes, garment construction, fabric sourcing, and production workflows.
Established factory network and sourcing experience with overseas manufacturing partners.
Expert proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and strong working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop.
Experience using PLM systems, preferably Webtech PLM.
Strong trend forecasting, color development, and product merchandising skills.
Excellent communication, project management, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work onsite five days per week.
