Systems / Data Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Orlando, FL that is seeking an experience Systems/Data Analyst to support a Cyber Security data and analytics program focused on advanced threat detection, correlation, investigation, and historical analysis.

Summary:
This role is responsible for transforming complex security and operational data into meaningful insights that improve visibility, response, and decision-making across the organization. The Data Analyst will work closely with data architects, cyber security teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to design, build, and maintain scalable data solutions. This individual will help mature the organization's data capabilities by ensuring data quality, governance, and alignment with best practices while delivering reliable reporting and analytics.

Key Responsibilities:
* Analyze large, complex datasets using statistical and analytical techniques to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insights
* Design, develop, and maintain databases, data models, and data collection systems to support reporting and analytics needs
* Build and deliver dashboards, recurring reports, and ad-hoc analyses to support cyber security operations and leadership decision-making
* Support a cyber security analytics platform enabling fast detections, advanced correlation, investigation workflows, and historical threat analysis
* Acquire data from primary and secondary sources, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency
* Clean, validate, and reconcile data by reviewing reports, system outputs, and performance indicators to identify and resolve data quality issues
* Partner with stakeholders to understand business and information needs and help prioritize analytics initiatives
* Ensure adherence to data governance standards, compliance requirements, and established SOPs
* Identify opportunities to improve data processes, reporting efficiency, and overall analytical effectiveness

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data, Database Technology, or a related field; Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered
* 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst
* Experience with database design, data modeling, and data mining techniques
* Hands-on experience with reporting and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, SSRS, or similar platforms
* Experience with ETL processes, data integration, or scripting (e.g., XML, JavaScript, or ETL frameworks)
* Strong expertise in SQL, data querying, and report development
* Working knowledge of statistical analysis and data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, or comparable tools)
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and data accuracy
* Strong collaboration and communication skills
* Ability to clearly present findings and insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred:
* Experience supporting enterprise-scale data platforms or complex, cross-functional initiatives
* Exposure to cyber security, threat analytics, security operations, or risk-related data

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
