Summary

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an Policy Adherence Specialist for Contingent Worker Operations for a long-term CONTRACT (potential contract to hire) assignment with one of our premier Management Consulting clients in Miramar, FL. The main function of this position is to be an 'enforcer' of policies related to contingent workers (globally) and will entail scheduling meetings with those in violation to educate and achieve compliance with official policies, processes, and procedures. A background in contingent labor/procurement operations is a big plus but not necessarily required if a candidate has sufficient experience in a similar role.

**This will be a hybrid role, working onsite in Miramar Tues/Wed/Thurs and remote Monday/Friday - no exceptions and candidates must reside in a reasonable commuting distance**

At a high level, the need is for someone who is:
  1. Operationally rigorous and fastidious - highly detail-oriented, strong at documenting and operationalizing policies, running audits, and building clean, defensible processes with clear SOPs and controls.
  2. Comfortable with executive presence - able to handle sensitive, partner-level calls and escalations with confidence, discretion, and professionalism, while delivering clear and firm guidance on policy and risk.
  3. Strong in risk mindset and continuous improvement - data-driven, proactive in identifying risk themes, and capable of working cross-functionally (Legal, Finance, Risk, vendors) to strengthen compliance and governance at scale.
This person should thrive in high-accountability environments, manage multiple priorities independently, and be comfortable delivering tough messages when required.

Responsibilities:
You will be part of a global Policy Adherence team, which drives adoption of preferred buying channels by designing, implementing, and overseeing consequence-management processes that ensure compliance with policies. Reporting to the Manager of Operations, Policy Adherence, you will help build and scale Policy Adherence Operations within the Operations team. Your work will focus on operational risk mitigation, compliance execution, and continuous process improvement to minimize risk and help set the standard for our profession.
  • Lead operational aspects of risk mitigation, compliance, and policy adherence
  • Conduct research, audits, and reviews of procurement and expense processes
  • Operationalize policies and document standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Expand the scope of risk management and develop efficiency and audit plans
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex, sensitive expense-related issues involving policy, risk, and compliance
  • Provide expert guidance to resolve high-impact issues with colleagues and senior leaders
  • Measure and track performance of teams and external partners
  • Collaborate with service providers (e.g., Coupa, Aravo, Uber, Lyft) to drive innovation
  • Partner cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, Information Security, Risk, HR, Compliance, Supplier Risk, and other Firm groups
  • Align with leadership to implement and deliver ESG and Risk strategies
  • Your work will directly help protect the Firm by strengthening governance, improving compliance outcomes, and enabling responsible growth.

Required Skills:
  • Undergraduate degree
  • 3-5 years of corporate and/or professional services experience.
  • Excellent organization capabilities, including the ability to initiate tasks independently and the ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize them, and carry them out independently while being mindful of the big picture to meet your responsibilities in a complex and largely autonomous work environment.
  • Independently manages multiple people and projects simultaneously while participating in best practices and nurturing a trust-based, inclusive, productive environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and local office language(s), with the ability to adjust your style to suit different perspectives and seniority levels.
  • Ability to create materials, which may include PowerPoint decks, Excel models, articles, or other written deliverables.
  • Experience with building, monitoring, and addressing cases involving policy adherence, risk management, or compliance. Sensitivity with confidential information and adherence to the highest professional and process standards
  • Proficient in rational decision making based on data, facts, and logical reasoning.
  • Capable of raising issues, generating solutions, and working effectively under pressure
  • Strong influencing capabilities, including willingness to push back and deliver tough messages to senior audiences, and demonstrated track record of leadership in high-performing teams.
  • Ability to work in-person (team schedules and office locations may vary) and to work or attend meetings outside of traditional business hours or take on projects with limited or no notice at times.

Preferred Skills:
  • Advanced graduate degree (e.g., MBA, PhD, etc.) or equivalent work experience preferred; Degree / education requirements may vary by country or practice.
