Our Performance Center in Carson, CA is the EngineeredProducts Group site for our Human Machine Interface, Motion Control Device, andRadio Frequency (RF) product lines.
Job Summary - Design and develop mechanical components, parts, and assemblies using SolidWorks.
- Create detailed 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, and engineering documentation.
- Perform tolerance stack-ups, fit and clearance analysis, and basic design calculations.
- Design components for manufacturability, assembly, serviceability, and cost optimization.
- Review and modify existing designs to improve performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, tooling, quality, materials, and analysis teams throughout the product development process.
- Support prototype development, testing, validation, and production release.
- Participate in design reviews and resolve technical issues related to mechanical components.
- Manage engineering changes and maintain accurate product design data and documentation.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable industry standards, company procedures, and customer requirements.
- Maintain weekly progress reporting (Project Management and project timesheet)
- Support facility and corporate strategic goals
- Adhere to General Requirements of Team Members
- Perform other assignments as required
Required Skills and Qualifications - Good knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and engineering drawing standards.
- Ability to interpret engineering specifications and technical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Basic knowledge of engineering concepts and principles of physics

Preferred Qualifications- Understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, sheet metal, casting, forging, injection molding, or fabrication.
- Good knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and engineering drawing standards.
Required Experience and Education - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- 0-2 Years experience in mechanical product/component design and development.
Base Compensation: USD 95,000.00 - 115,000.00Paid Salaried
