Senior Project Manager (IT project management experience, including navigating digital transformation initiatives)
Location: Fremont, CA (Hybrid)
Duration: 4 months with a possibility of extension for 12 months.
Lead Strategic Global Indirect Procurement Initiatives.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee and drive complex projects within our Global Indirect Procurement organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in IT project management, deep understanding of procurement and vendor management workflows, and have demonstrated success in navigating within company-wide digital transformation initiative.
Successful candidate will have proven expertise in building alignment and effectively mobilizing both internal partners and external vendors to achieve project objectives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, agility in fostering cross-functional collaboration, and comfort navigating complex stakeholder environments. Additionally, the candidate should be highly skilled in delivering clear, concise, and impactful reports and presentations to executives and steering committees, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making at all levels.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage global indirect procurement projects, ensuring alignment with digital transformation objectives and company strategy.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to achieve project goals and maintain strong partnerships.
• Develop detailed project plans, set milestones, and monitor progress to ensure timely and successful delivery.
• Drive results by identifying and resolving project risks, obstacles, and dependencies.
• Prepare and present comprehensive reports and updates to executives and steering committees, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making.
• Facilitate collaboration across cross-functional teams to maximize the impact and efficiency of procurement initiatives.
• Engage, align, and mobilize internal partners and external vendors to drive project initiatives forward and achieve strategic outcomes.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration, demonstrating agility and comfort in interacting with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Qualifications
• Proven experience in IT project management, preferably within a digital transformation environment.
• Strong background in global indirect procurement with expertise in vendor and partner alignment.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and report effectively to executive leadership.
• Experience working with steering committees and providing strategic updates.
Preferred Skills
• Prior Lam IT/GIS Project Management experience is preferred.
• Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PMI-ACP, Lean/SixSigma is a plus).
• Experience managing multi-country or global procurement-supporting projects.
• Ability to influence and build consensus among diverse internal and external partners.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
