Position Summary

We are looking for a hands-on Snowflake Solution Architect to lead the architecture, design and delivery governance for a data-sharing modernization program.

The ideal candidate must combine strong Snowflake platform depth with practical enterprise delivery experience. The person should be able to design secure Snowflake architecture, define account and environment strategy, model Bronze/Silver/Gold data layers, guide ingestion and sharing patterns, establish RBAC/masking/row-level access design, define data contract enforcement patterns, and support A/B validation for feed conversion.

Also, the candidate must be comfortable working with enterprise architects, security architects, AWS/cloud architects, data governance leads, data owners, application owners, network teams, business SMEs and program leadership. As architect be able to drive the key decisions about Snowflake account structure, naming standards, databases, schemas, warehouses, roles, shares, stages and integrations.

Required Experience

Minimum Experience

•              12+ years of total experience in data architecture, data warehousing, data engineering or cloud data platforms.

•              5+ years of hands-on Snowflake architecture and delivery experience.

•              Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale Snowflake implementations.

•              Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.

•              Experience leading client-facing architecture workshops and translating business requirements into technical designs.

•              Experience with data-sharing, data governance, security, data contracts, auditability and controlled delivery governance.

Mandatory Technical Skills

•              Snowflake architecture, account setup, databases, schemas, stages, warehouses and workload isolation.

•              Snowflake Secure Data Sharing, secure views, database roles and consumer access patterns.

•              Snowflake RBAC, masking policies, row access policies, tagging, lineage and audit/usage monitoring.

•              Snowpipe or equivalent Snowflake ingestion patterns.

•              Streams, Tasks, stored procedures and incremental processing patterns.

•              SQL performance tuning and query optimization.

•              Data modeling for analytical workloads.

•              Bronze/Silver/Gold or medallion-style architecture patterns.

•              Data quality, deduplication and reconciliation design.

•              SCD Type 2, change detection and canonical change modeling.

•              AWS integration patterns, including S3/object storage, IAM, KMS, logging and network/security dependencies.

•              Monitoring and operational reporting using Snowflake and cloud/platform tooling.

•              CI/CD practices for Snowflake database objects using Git, Terraform or equivalent tooling.

Strongly Preferred Skills

•              Experience with data contracts, data governance councils, rule governance and cross-organization data stewardship.

•              Experience designing data sharing into cloud-native data-sharing patterns.

•              Experience with A/B testing, reconciliation and conversion assurance for legacy-to-modern platform migration.

•              Experience designing platforms that support delayed, incomplete or late-arriving data.

•              Experience with GenAI-assisted data engineering, code analysis or documentation acceleration with proper human review.

Certifications

Required or Strongly Preferred

•              Snowflake SnowPro Core Certification.

•              Snowflake SnowPro Advanced Architect Certification or equivalent Snowflake architecture experience.

Preferred

•              AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Data Analytics, AWS Security or equivalent cloud certification.

•              Azure or Google Cloud Platform data/cloud certification if candidate has multi-cloud experience.

•              Data governance, data management or security certifications are a plus.

•              Agile, SAFe or delivery/program execution certification is a plus.
