Job Type: Contract

Job Overview:

Pay Range: $40.00hr - $45.00hr

Requirement/Must Have:

  • 10+ years of experience in UX writing and content design.
  • Strong background in product copywriting and microcopy development.
  • Expertise in content strategy and information architecture.
  • Proficiency in taxonomy and terminology management.
  • Deep understanding of user-centered design and user journey mapping.
  • Knowledge of interaction design principles and wireframing.
  • Experience with design thinking and research analysis.
  • Ability to interpret user research and conduct content/usability testing.
  • Proficiency in Figma, FigJam, Miro, Confluence, Jira, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bachelor s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Technical Writing, Human-Computer Interaction, UX Design, or a related field.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Product and UX teams early in the product lifecycle to define content strategy and user experience goals.
  • Establish and maintain product terminology, content standards, and taxonomy.
  • Structure information architecture to align with user mental models and business objectives.
  • Develop content frameworks and governance models that ensure consistency across the platform.
  • Write clear, concise, and user-friendly UI content including labels, headers, buttons, navigation elements, helper text, tooltips, forms, and microcopy.
  • Create intuitive content that simplifies complex workflows and improves task completion rates.
  • Ensure product experiences maintain a consistent brand voice and tone across features and user journeys.
  • Collaborate with UX designers during wireframing and prototyping phases.
  • Design and optimize guided user experiences for complex tasks and workflows.
  • Identify content opportunities that improve usability, discoverability, and user engagement.
  • Contribute to user journey mapping and interaction design discussions.
  • Create actionable and user-friendly system messages, including error, validation, warning, and success notifications.
  • Collaborate with UX Researchers to understand user behaviors, pain points, and feedback.
  • Leverage user insights and analytics to refine content strategies.
  • Advocate for content-first design principles within cross-functional teams.
  • Develop and maintain content guidelines, style guides, and content patterns.
  • Conduct content audits and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure accessibility, inclusivity, and readability standards are followed across all product experiences.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working on SaaS, Enterprise, Healthcare, AI, or Document Management platforms.
  • Experience creating content for workflow-intensive products.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG).
  • Knowledge of conversational and AI-assisted product experiences.
  • Master s degree in a related field.
