The NYC Office of Technology and Innovation is seeking a Senior Project Manager to support the NYC Digital Service team in delivering high-impact, public-facing digital experiences. This role will focus on managing end-to-end project lifecycles for initiatives such as affordable housing tools, benefits access platforms, and other citizen-facing services.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced project leader who can coordinate across multiple stakeholders, manage timelines, and ensure high-quality delivery in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Define project objectives and develop detailed project plans
Manage full project lifecycle from planning through delivery
Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
Establish communication cadence and facilitate project meetings
Track progress, document decisions, and escalate risks/issues as needed
Maintain comprehensive project documentation aligned with objectives
Create and manage user stories and workflows in Azure DevOps (or similar tools)
Oversee QA testing processes and ensure compliance with standards
Manage software release processes and coordinate deployments
Collaborate closely with technical teams and business stakeholders
12+ years of experience managing web-based projects
Proven track record of delivering websites or digital products from concept to launch
Strong experience with Agile methodologies and modern software development practices
Proficiency with Azure DevOps or similar project management/ticketing tools
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex environment
Experience working closely with technical teams and developers
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Experience managing QA and release processes
Background in journalism, content writing, or digital marketing
Familiarity with SEO principles and content strategy
Experience with CMS platforms such as Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
PMP or PRINCE2 certification
Experience with tools such as Jira, Airtable, or similar platforms
Experience managing budgets and project resources
Hybrid work schedule: 3 days onsite at 2 MetroTech Center, Brooklyn, NY
