Summary

Role: AI Architect
Location Washington, D.C. (Onsite - 4days/week)
Duration: 6 months contract

Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior AI Architect with strong experience in designing and deploying scalable AI/ML solutions in enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will lead the transition from Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to production-grade AI systems, while ensuring performance, scalability, and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead enterprise-wide AI strategy and drive adoption of scalable AI solutions
Design end-to-end AI/ML architectures including data ingestion, model training, deployment, and monitoring
Evaluate and select appropriate AI technologies (Generative AI, NLP, Computer Vision, Deep Learning) based on business needs
Implement MLOps frameworks for CI/CD, continuous training, and model monitoring
Collaborate with data engineering teams to build robust data pipelines, vector databases, and RAG-based systems
Optimize infrastructure and manage costs for AI workloads (GPU usage, token optimization, etc.)
Establish AI governance, security, and compliance standards (e.g., data privacy, model fairness, risk mitigation)
Communicate AI strategies and insights effectively to leadership and non-technical stakeholders

Required Skills & Experience:

8–10+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or architecture
4+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML system design and production deployment
Strong experience with AI/ML frameworks and Generative AI technologies
Solid understanding of MLOps practices and cloud-based AI infrastructure
Experience with SQL and data warehousing tools (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery)
Expertise in building scalable AI pipelines and RAG architectures
Proven ability to optimize AI infrastructure costs and performance
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice to Have:

Experience with AI governance, compliance, and ethical AI frameworks
Exposure to enterprise-scale AI transformations
Knowledge of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA)
