Job Summary

The Financial Analyst supports the governance, maintenance, and optimization of financial master data across the organization. Reporting to the Financial Master Data Manager, this role ensures data accuracy, consistency, and audit compliance while supporting freight forwarding and logistics operations. The analyst works cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and IT to ensure financial data is properly structured, maintained, and available across systems to enable billing, reporting, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update financial master data including customers, vendors, chart of accounts, cost centers, and logistics-related charge codes.
  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency across systems.
  • Support data governance processes by adhering to established standards, controls, and approval workflows.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with internal controls and audit requirements, including documentation and evidence preparation.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Finance teams to align master data with freight forwarding processes such as shipment billing, payables, and accruals.
  • Support integration and synchronization of data between systems and logistics platforms, including CargoWise where applicable.
  • Investigate and resolve data discrepancies, working with cross-functional stakeholders to identify root causes.
  • Generate and analyze reports related to data quality, financial performance, and operational metrics.
  • Contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance data accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assist with system testing, data migration, and implementation of new tools or enhancements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • 2 5 years of experience in financial analysis, master data management, or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of financial processes such as billing, payables, and reconciliations.
  • Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain environments.
  • Hands-on experience with CargoWise or similar logistics platforms.
  • Familiarity with data governance concepts and data quality frameworks.
  • Experience with reporting or visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Understanding of audit and compliance requirements (e.g., SOX).
