Location: Wayne, Pennsylvania; Charlotte OR North Carolina (Partial Remote)
Employment Type: 6 month contract to hire
Role Overview
This position serves as the front line of the Network Operations Center (NOC), responsible for alert response, initial triage, and resolving issues through structured troubleshooting paths. While an entry-level role, strong foundational knowledge and professional communication are mandatory for success in this high-visibility environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor alerts and respond to incidents across approximately 25 different network technologies.
- Perform initial troubleshooting and gather necessary data for issue resolution.
- Escalate incidents to Tier 2 or Tier 3 support with clear and concise documentation.
- Participate in incident resolution calls and provide clear status updates.
- Continuously expand technical knowledge across the network technology stack.
Required Qualifications
Experience: CCNA-level knowledge or equivalent real-world experience is required. Prior experience in a NOC environment is strongly preferred; however, candidates with versatile technical backgrounds from smaller environments will also be considered.
Skills: Candidates must be curious, coachable, and eager to learn. Strong communication skills are essential, as clarity and professionalism are required at all times.
Work Schedule
This is a shift-based role. An initial training period will follow a standard weekday schedule. After training is completed, employees will be assigned to a fixed shift, which may include weekends (Wednesday-Saturday or Sunday-Wednesday). These schedules are intended to be permanent.
Compensation & Benefits
This is a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity. The anticipated conversion salary range is $76,000 - $104,000 annually. Upon conversion, the comprehensive benefits package includes a yearly performance bonus, an additional partner bonus, and a 401(k) plan with a company match and a significant employer contribution.
