Job Description - Collaborate with experienced engineers to design, implement, and optimize core systems components for the Network OS supporting OCI's switch infrastructure.
- Contribute to high-performance, reliable, and scalable systems through well-designed software and well-reasoned algorithms.
- Apply expertise in data structures, system architecture, resource management, concurrency, and fault tolerance to real-world software problems.
- Write efficient, maintainable code in systems-level languages such as C, C++, Rust, or Go.
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and team problem-solving sessions.
- Troubleshoot complex system-level issues, identify root causes, and help drive robust solutions in production environments.
- Proactively learn and onboard new technologies, including relevant areas of network engineering, as needed.
- Support operational excellence by automating workflows, improving testing infrastructure, and contributing to monitoring and observability initiatives.
Responsibilities - Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 3-5 years of experience developing systems software, OS internals, or large-scale distributed applications.
- Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, operating system concepts, and performance analysis.
- Proficiency in at least one systems programming language such as Java, C, C++, Rust, or Go.
- Demonstrated ability to learn complex technical domains quickly and apply rigorous reasoning to new problem spaces.
- Experience with networking technologies (such as TCP/IP, switching, routing) preferred.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and team-oriented mindset.
