Summary

Business Technology Integrators (BTI) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) with more than 25 years of experience delivering innovative and reliable IT and engineering solutions to the Federal Government. BTI supports mission-critical programs across defense and civilian agencies, with core expertise in cybersecurity, program management, enterprise IT, and technical oversight services.

BTI is currently searching for a Cloud Architect to fulfill the roles and responsibilities below:

Roles and Responsibilities:

As a Cloud Architect, the primary responsibility is to design and oversee the implementation of cloud solutions that align with an organization's strategic objectives and technical requirements.

This role involves analyzing business needs and translating them into cloud architectures that are scalable, secure, and cost-efficient. Cloud Architects collaborate with various stakeholders, including development teams, system administrators, and executives to ensure effective cloud integration and deployment strategies.

They are also responsible for creating cloud governance frameworks and best practices to ensure compliance and optimal performance.

Staying current with emerging cloud technologies and trends is essential for continuously enhancing the organization's cloud capabilities.
Experience/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree or industry certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional) are preferred.
  • Extensive experience in cloud computing architecture and design, with a deep understanding of cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
  • At least 8 years of experience in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and the ability to architect solutions using multiple services effectively.
  • Experience with government security compliance standards (e.g., FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST) and the ability to implement strategies that ensure compliance in cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and design patterns, as well as experience with microservices architecture and serverless computing.
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages for automation and infrastructure management.
  • Experience in risk assessment and management, as well as cloud security principles and best practices.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, capable of engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders and guiding teams through cloud transformation initiatives.
