Job Title: Release Train Engineer (RTE) Location: Reston VA (3 Days onsite Per week) Duration: 12+ Months Contract Job id - FNMAJP00039789 Job Description: - Champion Lean-Agile principles and practices across the ART, ensuring alignment with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
- Guide teams in adopting agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, and XP, promoting consistent iteration and continuous value delivery.
- Facilitate the development and execution of Program Increments (PIs) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead and facilitate major ART ceremonies, including PI Planning, system demos, Scrum of Scrums, and Inspect and Adapt workshops.
- Coordinate cross-team efforts, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and enabling smooth flow of information across participants.
- Manage interdependencies across teams and remove impediments to foster seamless collaboration.
- Identify and track risks, impediments, and dependencies that may affect ART progress.
- Collaborate with teams to resolve issues or escalate concerns to leadership when needed.
- Use critical thinking to navigate complex problems and maintain ART momentum.
- Act as an Agile coach for teams and stakeholders, simplifying complex Lean-Agile concepts and promoting best practices.
- Communicate PI objectives, progress updates, risks, and key milestones to ART stakeholders.
- Interpret data to identify improvement opportunities and enable data-driven decision-making.
Skills and Qualifications: - Deep knowledge and hands-on experience with SAFe, Lean, and Agile frameworks.
- Strong facilitation, coordination, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage risks, resolve conflicts, and guide multiple teams toward common objectives.
- Experience coaching and mentoring Agile teams and stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational and problem?solving abilities.
- SAFe RTE certification preferred (or relevant SAFe certifications).
