Summary

IBM DataStage Developer (6- 8+ Years Experience)

Overview: -

We are seeking an experienced IBM DataStage Developer with 6 or more years of hands-on experience to join our data engineering team.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in DataStage ETL development, solid SQL Server knowledge, and familiarity with Unix/Linux commands to support data integration, transformation, and migration projects.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain ETL jobs using IBM DataStage to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts in SQL Server to support data extraction and transformation processes.
Work with Unix/Linux environments to execute scripts, monitor batch jobs, and troubleshoot issues related to ETL processes.
Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Perform unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning of ETL jobs.
Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior developers.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Minimum 6 years of experience as an IBM DataStage Developer.
Proficient in SQL Server with experience writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
Familiarity with Unix/Linux commands and shell scripting for job automation and troubleshooting.
Experience with data warehousing concepts, ETL best practices, and data integration techniques.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment with good communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills."
