We are seeking a highly skilled Ironclad Integration Developer specializing in Finance and Legal automation to lead the technical execution of our enterprise integration roadmap. While the BSA defines the what, you will be responsible for the how—architecting, building, and maintaining robust, scalable workflows that connect our core Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) platform with financial systems, CRMs, and downstream tools.

This role requires a developer mindset applied to a modern integration environment, ensuring that enterprise automations are not just functional, but resilient, secure, and flawlessly synchronized.

Key Responsibilities

Ironclad Architecture: Design, build, and maintain complex, native Ironclad workflows utilizing conditional logic, loops, and multi-stage approval chains.
Custom Integration & API Dev: Build custom API integrations by interacting directly with Ironclad’s three abstraction layers: Data Layer, Workflow Layer, and Document Layer.
Ecosystem Middleware Engineering: Leverage enterprise iPaaS platforms (MuleSoft, Workato, Tray.io) to bridge Ironclad with core ERPs and CRMs without writing brittle, hard-coded scripts.
Bidirectional Data Sync: Configure, optimize, and troubleshoot native Salesforce-Ironclad integrations, managing complex data mapping and bidirectional Record Sync.
E-Signature Automation: Configure advanced, embedded, or automated signing workflows within the CLM pipeline via DocuSign, Adobe Sign, or Dropbox Sign.
Error Handling & Monitoring: Implement sophisticated webhook event triggers and error-handling strategies to ensure high reliability of business-critical contract data flows.
Security & Compliance: Manage user permissions, schema configurations, and secure token-based authentication (OAuth 2.0 clients) adhering to strict financial security standards and legal privacy regulations.

Technical Requirements

Ironclad Mastery: 3+ years of professional experience with Ironclad Workflow Designer and 2+ years of Core Administration (managing the Repository, smart alerts, and schemas). Ironclad Certified Administrator (ICA) status is highly preferred.
API Architecture & Auth: 3+ years of expert-level knowledge of Ironclad REST APIs, Webhooks, and secure, token-based authentication (OAuth 2.0, API Keys).
Salesforce Native Integration: 3+ years of deep experience mapping data, triggering workflows from Salesforce, and managing complex object syncing.
iPaaS / Middleware Proficiency: 3+ years of hands-on expertise using platforms like MuleSoft, Tray.io, or Workato to handle data orchestration across enterprise environments.
Downstream System Sync: 2+ years of experience pushing signed contract metadata to procurement, CRM, BI tools, or finance systems (e.g., Salesforce, ZIP, Coupa, or similar).

Finance & Legal Domain Knowledge

Systems Experience: Prior experience integrating legal platforms with critical downstream financial and operational tools such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or specialized procurement suites.
Process Logic: Deep familiarity with the structured nature of legal contracts, corporate compliance, and the data-handling logic required for seamless financial or procurement handoffs.

Success Metrics (First 12 Months)

Integration Reliability: Achieve a <1% failure rate for production Salesforce-Ironclad and iPaaS data syncs.
Efficiency Gains: Reduce manual data entry hours in the Finance/Legal departments by 30% through automated metadata synchronization.
Technical Debt Reduction: Audit and standardize existing, fragile integration scripts into modular, reusable middleware workflows.
Repository Integrity: Ensure 100% data alignment between signed contracts in the Ironclad Repository and active records in downstream ERP/CRM systems.

Preferred Qualifications

Ironclad Certified Administrator (ICA) or Ironclad Certified Workflows credentials.
Official certifications in enterprise middleware (e.g., Workato Expert, MuleSoft Developer).
Background in Legal Operations (LegalOps) or FinTech environments.
Strong proficiency in JavaScript or Python for advanced data transformations within middleware.

Ironclad Workflow Designer (3+ Years): Proven experience architecting complex, native Ironclad workflows. Must possess a deep understanding of building conditional logic, loops, and multi-stage approval chains prior to external system connection.
Ironclad Core Administration (2+ Years): Hands-on experience managing the Ironclad Repository, smart alerts, schema configurations, and user permissions. Ironclad Certified Administrator (ICA) credential is highly preferred.
Ironclad REST API Custom Development (3+ Years): Strong technical capability in developing custom integrations by interacting directly with Ironclad’s three abstraction layers: the Data Layer, Workflow Layer, and Document Layer.
 
Integration & Middleware Proficiency

Salesforce Native Integration (3+ Years): Deep, specialized experience configuring and troubleshooting the Ironclad-Salesforce integration. Must be proficient in complex data mapping, triggering workflows directly from Salesforce, and managing bidirectional Record Sync.
iPaaS / Middleware Platforms (3+ Years): Advanced expertise using enterprise middleware tools (e.g., MuleSoft, Workato, Tray.io) to bridge Ironclad with various ERPs and CRMs, avoiding brittle, hard-coded scripts.
Webhooks & Modern Authentication (3+ Years): Solid understanding of handling Ironclad event triggers via webhooks and securing connections using OAuth 2.0 (e.g., configuring OAuth clients for external applications).

Data Sync & Ecosystem Workflow Management

Upstream/Downstream System Synchronization (2+ Years): Experience successfully pushing signed contract metadata and documents to downstream ecosystems. Familiarity with syncing data across platforms like Salesforce, ZIP, Coupa, BI tools, or procurement/finance systems is required.
eSignature API Workflows (2+ Years): Experience configuring advanced, embedded, or automated signing workflows within the CLM pipeline using DocuSign, Adobe Sign, or Dropbox Sign.
