Job Description                                                                                   

We are seeking an experienced QA Analyst to support the State of Connecticut Paid Family and Medical Leave Insurance Authority. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, executing, and documenting comprehensive test plans to ensure high-quality software delivery across functionality, accessibility, usability, and performance.

The candidate will collaborate closely with developers, product owners, stakeholders, and QA teams in an Agile environment while contributing to both manual and automated testing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and execute comprehensive test cases and test plans
• Perform smoke, regression, accessibility, API/integration, and performance testing
• Conduct cross-browser and cross-device testing
• Utilize accessibility testing tools such as NVDA, Axe, and JAWS
• Identify, document, track, and validate defects using Jira
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities
• Collaborate with Agile teams during sprint ceremonies
• Work with automation engineers to improve automated test coverage
• Participate in requirement analysis and acceptance criteria definition
• Provide demonstrations, documentation, and training support as needed
• Ensure applications meet usability, accessibility, and performance standards

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• 6+ years of IT operations, programming, or software development experience
• 3+ years of Software QA Testing experience
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, DevOps, or Xray Test Management
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Salesforce and MuleSoft platforms
• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
• Accessibility testing experience using NVDA, Axe, or JAWS
• Experience with regression, smoke, and performance testing
• Strong collaboration and stakeholder communication skills
