Job Title: AWS Security Engineer – Application Development

Location: Irvine, CA – Local Candidates Only (Onsite 4–5 Days/Week)
Duration: 12 Months Contract
Rate: Up to $60/hr C2C
Experience: 13+ Years
Start Date: ASAP (Target: October 26)

Key Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience in AWS Security: IAM, GuardDuty, Security Hub, CloudTrail, KMS, Secrets Manager, VPC, and S3 security.
• Application security and programming skills in Python, Go, or similar languages.
• Expertise in DevSecOps, Terraform/CloudFormation/CDK, CI/CD security, and automated security scanning.
• Experience with OWASP, API security, threat modeling, vulnerability remediation, and container security.
• Knowledge of AWS Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, CSPM, SIEM integration, and cloud incident response.
• Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with application development teams.

Important: This is a hands-on engineering role, not a SOC or compliance-only position. Candidates must be local to Irvine/Orange County, work onsite Monday–Thursday, and be flexible for Friday onsite work when required. 

Preferred: AWS Security Specialty, OSCP/CKS, and SOC 2/ISO 27001 experience.
